    Project Buyer (m/f)

    As a Project Buyer you act as an interface between Technical Development, Global Commodity Buyers and suppliers. Your mission is to optimise the contract margin (CM). You ensure the best possible total cost of ownership and are not afraid to challenge the organisation to improve CM projects. Starting with the tendering phase, you will manage all procurement aspects of the assigned projects. Working closely with the project teams and commodity buyers, you will drive supplier selection and guarantee the successful development of technical parts. In addition, you control the entire supplier management during the development process.

    You create and manage the project purchasing plan (suppliers APQP, selection, second source) and the schedule of long lead items. In various meetings such as Project Core Team Meetings, Non-Conformity Meetings, Change Control Board Meetings, Gate Reviews etc., you will represent the purchasing department. Controlling material costs and weighing up risks and opportunities are as much a part of your daily tasks as the coordination of project-related activities to reduce material costs. In test and retrofit programmes, you will coordinate all purchasing and supplier-related activities.

    For this position, you bring along a technical degree and further training in business administration, ideally as a federally qualified purchaser or supply chain manager. We require several years of professional experience in demanding and complex projects in the field of purchasing or materials management. You are fluent in English and German and you master the usual software. You have already proven your negotiating skills and your environment appreciates you as a team player and resilient personality with assertiveness.
